Terms of use

Effective 27 August 2026

1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of the Watching in Prayer mobile applications, website, and related services. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity under your account. If you are not old enough to enter this agreement where you live, you may use the service only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.

Account creation and ordinary account access are currently available through the mobile app. Browser dashboard access is restricted to authorised administrators.

3. The service

Watching in Prayer helps people organise prayer projects and points, pray alone or with others, keep notes and journals, access Bible and ministry media, receive reminders, and use related tools. Features may differ by device, region, account, or release and may change over time.

The service supports spiritual practice but is not a substitute for medical, mental-health, legal, financial, emergency, or other professional advice. Contact an appropriate professional or emergency service when needed.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of content you create. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, copy, process, transmit, display, and adapt that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, and provide the service and the sharing choices you make. This licence ends when the content is deleted from active systems, subject to reasonable backup, legal, and security retention.

You must have the rights and permissions needed for anything you upload or share. Please consider the privacy and dignity of other people before recording them or adding information about them.

5. Shared and public features

People you invite to a project or session may see, hear, copy, or respond to content according to their role. Content you choose to make public can be viewed or reshared beyond the audience you expect. Review a project’s visibility and membership before sharing sensitive prayer or personal information.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to:

  • break the law, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, or record a person without legally required permission;
  • harass, exploit, threaten, impersonate, defraud, or expose another person’s confidential information;
  • upload malicious code, evade access controls, probe security, interfere with service operation, or automate access in an abusive way;
  • send spam, manipulate engagement, or use the service for unauthorised commercial solicitation; or
  • use generated suggestions or summaries as if they were verified professional advice or guaranteed factual or theological conclusions.

7. App content and third-party material

The service may include Scripture translations, sermons, teachings, audio, video, links, or other material supplied by licensors, creators, users, or third-party services. Their rights remain with their respective owners. Availability may change because of licensing, source availability, or technical constraints. Third-party services and links are governed by their own terms and policies.

8. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time and may request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address a serious or repeated breach, protect users or the service, comply with law, or discontinue the service. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

9. Availability and disclaimers

We work to keep Watching in Prayer reliable, but the service is provided on an “as available” basis. Internet, device, notification, live-session, transcription, AI, and third-party media features may be delayed, unavailable, or inaccurate. To the extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties that are not expressly stated in these terms. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or warranties that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

10. Responsibility and liability

You are responsible for your use of the service, your content, and your interactions with other users. To the extent permitted by law, Watching in Prayer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of the service. Any limitation applies only to the extent allowed by applicable law and does not limit liability that legally cannot be limited.

11. Changes

We may update the service and these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide reasonable notice through the app, website, or email before it takes effect where required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.

12. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to info@watchinginprayer.com or through our contact page.
